Bert Greenwood

At-Large

Roberta (Bert) Greenwood is a longtime member of GAGV, serving on the Legislative Committee for six years. Bert is committed to supporting legislative progress for safer communities, addressing the intersection of gun violence and domestic violence, and supporting racial justice as it applies to gun violence. After a 30-year career in telecommunications, Bert spent several years as a journalist and a group facilitator for children affected by domestic violence. As a teen, Bert experienced the devastating generational effects of gun violence when her aunt was murdered by a family member. She has been active in the GVP community for decades. Currently active in building civic engagement through voting rights with Seattle-based Common Power, Bert hopes to contribute to a safer world for her three grandchildren.
