Grandmothers is one of the founding partners of Washington Gun Violence Prevention Coalition that unites seven organizations and governing bodies working to make our communities safer from gun violence. The Coalition is hosting its first event on Saturday, April 20 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Seattle City Hall. (see link below and note our logo!)
On the 20th anniversary of the Columbine school shooting, Washington State's top gun violence prevention organizations and governing bodies have come together to raise awareness on existing gun safety laws.
Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) are an underutilized tool to prevent individuals at high risk of harming themselves or others from accessing firearms. Family members or law enforcement can obtain an ERPO in response to an individual's dangerous mental health crisis or violent behavior.
Join us for this no-cost, community event to learn more about ERPOs and help us get the word out about this life-saving measure. Please RSVP at this site: https://secure.gunresponsibility.org/page/s/gvpc
You are also invited to a Rally for Change hosted by Washington Ceasefire from 10:00 am to noon on the same date, at the same place. A Time To Remember Columbine and a Time To Hope.
