Trainer: Mike Donlin, Program Supervisor from the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction’s School Safety Center, describes training given to our state’s teachers and staff. Included will be state standards, enforcement and suggestions for improvement.
Students: Two Seattle High School Students describe being in a classroom during a lockdown from two different perspectives. These students will be introduced by Brandy Grant, Program Manager from the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Foundation.
Counselors: Erin Romanuk, School Social Worker in Seattle Public School’s Safety and Security Office and a few of her colleagues from Seattle’s Superintendent’s crisis resource team, discuss how professionals are equipped to provide support after a lockdown.
